11/9/2016 Update from Silver Beach

Silver Beach News for 11.9.16

Dear Families,

Thanks to our amazing Family Support Network (FSN) there will be a limited number of Thanksgiving meals available for families who receive Free or Reduced Meals. Our FSN is a group of Silver Beach Families helping other Silver Beach Families with basic need support. If your family could benefit from a ready-made full thanksgiving meal, please contact our school counselor, Brian Gilmore, at 676-6470 ext.2328. There is a very limited number of meals available and no guarantee that all requests can be fulfilled. Information regarding Families requesting support is kept confidential. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Have a great week!
Nicole

Kids Night Out
is becoming very popular! Due to this we will no longer be able to accept drop offs. The form needs to be filled out and returned to school by the day of Kids Night Out or an email sent to Susan Miner, susanmike76@comcast.net by 3:00 pm the day ofKids’ Night Out . The YMCA has a student to adult ratio that we must comply with and we also need to know how much pizza, drinks, and treats to purchase before the event.
Thank you for working with us on this. The next Kids Night Out is scheduled for Friday 11/18 from 6:30-9:00.
After School Enrichment:
As our After School programs come to an end, we invite all who were involved to answer this short survey to help us better our After School Programs at Silver Beach Elementary! http://www.silverbeachpto.org/survey
Be on the lookout for winter After School Programs! Signups will start sometime in December or the beginning of January!  For more information and to sign up for all After-School Programs (ASPs).
Also, we would greatly appreciate it if you could take a little time to answer this short survey about offering Spanish language program at our school.

Reminders:
• If you need to pick your child up early for any reason other than illness or injury, so as not to interrupt quality instruction time by the teacher, please allow yourself enough time to come to the classroom or other location where he/she is, and help him/her get packed up and ready to go.
• Like us on Facebook
• Our Lost and Found is getting full! Please come and look at our Lost and Found rack to see if you can claim any missing items. Please label outerwear with your child’s name so that if something is left on the playground we can get it back to the rightful owner.
• We’re asking all volunteers, including parents, guardians and grandparents who plan to volunteer in classrooms and on field trips, to please take a few moments to complete our new online volunteer application. You can find the application on our website: bellinghamschools.org (click on the blue Community tab at the top of the website, then select the Volunteer Program from the dropdown menu), or log in directly at https://bellinghamschoolsvolunteers.hrmplus.net/Home.aspx
