11/16/2016 Update from Silver Beach

Dear Families,
For the next few weeks, Bellingham Public Schools will be surveying parents and guardians, along with students (grades 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11) and staff. Our district’s strategic plan, The Bellingham Promise, guides our work and emphasizes our collective commitment to our children. We believe that all children should be loved and that every child can learn at high levels.

We need your feedback on what we are doing well and what we can continue to improve. If you have more than one child enrolled in the same school, please fill out one survey for each child, as your answers may vary. Your surveys will indicate which child’s experience to consider as you answer the questions.

This survey link is unique to Silver Beach. All survey responses are anonymous. No one at your school will see your individual responses. A separate organization, Panorama Education, is managing the survey to ensure confidentiality.

This survey is an important opportunity to provide us with your valuable input based on your experiences in our school and district. Thank you in advance for taking the time to assist us in collecting this critical information, and for being a valued member of our Bellingham Public Schools community.

Please complete this survey by December 9, 2016 by visiting the website listed below and use your school’s access code. You may use a computer or a smartphone to access the online survey.

Kids Night Out is becoming very popular! Due to this we will no longer be able to accept drop offs. The form needs to be filled out and returned to school by the day of Kids Night Out or an email sent to Susan Miner, [email protected] by 3:00 pm the day of Kids Night Out. The YMCA has a student to adult ratio that we must comply with and we also need to know how much pizza, drinks, and treats to purchase before the event.
Thank you for working with us on this. The next Kids Night Out is scheduled for Friday 11/18 from 6:30-9:00.

• If you need to pick your child up early for any reason other than illness or injury, so as not to interrupt quality instruction time by the teacher, please allow yourself enough time to come to the classroom or other location where he/she is, and help him/her get packed up and ready to go.

• Our Lost and Found is getting full! Please come and look at our Lost and Found rack to see if you can claim any missing items. Please label outerwear with your child’s name so that if something is left on the playground we can get it back to the rightful owner.
