12/7/2016 Update from Silver Beach

Silver Beach News for 12.7.16

Dear Families,
It’s that wonderful time of year…
The 5th Grade Helping Hawks Food Drive runs through Tuesday, Dec. 13th. So far students have weighed in 350 pounds with the goal of 750 (

There is still time for students to apply for Leadership jobs- Winter Leadership Jobs.pdf  greatest needs are 3rd grade recess helpers and morning greeters.

Today Bus 30 was delayed by 10 minutes because it could not get up Academy St.  Please remember there is NO parking on right hand side going down the hill.
Have a great weekend,
Nicole

From our Family Support Network

We are ready for your help to support some Silver Beach families!  I will be coordinating again this year with Mr. Gilmore and Laura Lawyer.  So far there are 5 families (Additional families will be updated as soon as possible)… If we get any additional families in, I will add them to the spreadsheet.

Below is the link to a google spreadsheet with all of the requests.  They are separated into sheets per family… There are “tabs” at the bottom of the document that allow you to move between families and see each family’s request.  Please type in your name to the right of any items that you are willing to contribute.

If you are willing, the items can be wrapped also.  Please label with the Family Number, Child (if applicable) and from FSN, to ensure it goes to the correct family.  The items can be left at the office.  Please try to have items at the Office by December 14th, to allow time for delivery and pick up from the families.

If you are having trouble viewing the google document… let me know and I will sign you up for whatever items you would like.  For those of you unfamiliar with google spreadsheets, if there is a name to the right of the item, it is taken.  If the box is grey, it was unrequested.  Thank you so much again for helping… last year the families were overwhelmed when they saw the support they received, and this year we have several new families who have never received support from the FSN holiday drive.  Some of the items are for families in transition, and I am working with Mr. Gilmore to see if we can get gently used housewares and furniture for some of the requests.

If you cannot access the google spreadsheet, or if you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.  If you have friends, neighbors or family in the area who you think would want to contribute, please don’t hesitate to forward the link to them.  If items need arranging for pickup, please let me know.  Thank you for your generosity!
