1/4/2017 Update from Silver Beach

Silver Beach News for 1.4.17

Dear Families,
Happy New Year! I have appreciated the return to routines and seeing the smiling faces of our kids and staff.

All those little box tops add up! We were just notified that Silver Beach earned $1236.20 for the first half of the year; please keep sending them in!  Special thanks to our Box Top volunteer, Laura Cabrera.

Date Change: Wednesday the 25th was scheduled as a non-student prior to our snow days.  Now the non-student day is Friday, January 27.

Enrichment Opportunities
WWU Youth Programs invites students in grades K-5 to explore science activities with Kids Night Out @ Western this winter! An hour of swimming at the Wade King Student Recreation Center is offered to participants. The winter program will be held from 7 to 9:45 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20. WWU Youth Programs invites students in grades K-5 to explore science and art activities with Early Release Enrichment this winter! The program coincides with early release Thursdays, offering an alternative to traditional childcare while also providing an early introduction to campus life. • If you need to pick your child up early for any reason other than illness or injury, so as not to interrupt quality instruction time by the teacher, please allow yourself enough time to come to the classroom or other location where he/she is, and help him/her get packed up and ready to go.
