3/15/2017 Update for Silver Beach

Silver Beach News for 3.15.17

Dear Families,
Our Science Fair is Friday! BIG thanks to Kristen Mason and Kristen Isakovic who chair this event sponsored by our PTO.  This year we have over 100 entries!  All students who submit a project will have the opportunity to a present to a parent volunteer and receive feedback and throughout the day each classroom will get to tour the projects.  It is wonderful to see kids so excited about science experiments and research!   Family and friends are invited to view projects from 6:00-7:30 Friday Night. Thank you to all the volunteers who make the Science Fair such a positive learning experience for our kids.
Have a great week! ~ Nicole

State Testing begins for 3rd grade next week. Please see attached 2017 State Testing Communication  and the 3rd-5th Grade Testing Schedule.pdf.

From the PTO
Back by popular demand! Dr. Putney, Silver Beach parent and local pediatrician returns this year for a candid conversation on tweens and growing up. Please join us for “Adolescence Explained- Who is this monster in my kitchen?” On Tuesday, April 11th at 6:30pm. Mood swings, change in attitude, body changes…Dr. Putney provides answers, tips, and advice on how we can help our kids navigate adolescence. There will be childcare available, but we ask that only parents sit in on the actual discussion. For a wonderful parent & child together program on adolescence, Dr. Putney recommends visiting greatconversations.com for dates on upcoming local discussions. An event has been created on the Silver Beach Facebook page. Please let us know if you will be joining the discussion. Thank you! Hope to see you there!
