Quick Facts:

The SBA is given to students in grades 3-11; Grades 3-8 are assessed only on Math and English-Language Arts.

These tests began in 2015

The SBA is not used for report cards.

Multiple Choice answers are scored by computer, while written answers are graded by professionally trained scorers (each with a four-year-degree) who are monitored by the American Institutes for Research.

Results are reported for individual students, schools, districts and the state.
